Getting into a rhythm

Today is the first full day we are on a regular schedule, and we can begin to feel the rhythm of daily life at FMC. The day starts with practice time and morning collection, then continues with classes and chorus. After lunch, there are more classes and ensembles, including band and orchestra, and then some free time, and then musical theater practice before supper. We have a different program each night, sometimes outside speakers and sometimes recitals or other camp activities.

It is nice to start feeling the ebb and flow of the days here. As you can see from the photo above, campers are already hard at work learning notes and scripts; music is flowing out of every corner of the campus. All of this is the exciting process towards the eventual performances, and it is always wonderful to see it unfold.
